I ordered a salted caramel Americano this morning at Starbucks, and the gal questioned me and said she would “wing it”, and so when I got the drink, it was some mocha thing, no salty taste and I was sooooooo disappointed…

Is salted caramel a thing? I’ve not seen any salted caramel syrup before. It’s a flavour that’s often used in desserts, but I don’t think anyone’s adapted it for coffee yet.
